Biography - Photo Story

1. The first image depicts myself, along with several family members upon a gathering at the beach. Although difficult to discern, is myself an odd three years prior. The reason I selected an image of this ilk is due to the fact that it portrays myself enjoying one of my more favoured recreational activities. Swimming has been a passion of mine for some time, and is more preeminent among the athletic activities which I practise.

2. The second of these pictures is representative of the importance of animals in my life, as I have always held special favour with dogs. The picture illustrated above is demonstrative of this fact, as both the family dogs: Benson and Hedges, are shown next to me.

3. This next image is one which shows an individual playing badminton, which, following swimming, is a referred recreational activity where athletics are concerned. The significance of this activity is that it oftentimes is useful in relieving stress, and is thus a generally enjoyable sport for which I have a proclivity.

4. The image itself communicates the message rather efficiently, as it is representative of my passion for the sciences, with emphasis upon the field of medicine, as a career. From my formative years have I harboured an innate desire to join the ranks of medical professionals who have preceded me, and in so doing have a career in which I may take pride, as well as to provide a service to my fellow man.

5. This next picture depicts a family gathering in the not-too-distant-past. As with many-an-individual, I hold family in high esteem. Ergo, I saw fit to include an image which would aptly communicate this message. Blood is thicker than water I always say, and for this reason few other bonds transcend that of familial ties.

6. In the sixth image is portrayed myself standing next to my science fair project at the Manitoba Schools Science Symposium. This is indubitably of great significance to me for a plethora of purposes. In essence, my passions lie in the field of science, and as such I enjoy such pursuits as science fair which fall under the broad mantle of science. I regard such activities as potential training for a career in medical sciences.

7. The seventh of these images is representative of my love for music in all its forms, as at the front may be seen myself receiving recognition following the rendering of a solo at the Pembina Trails Honour Band for the academic year 2008/2009. Apart from playing the flute in the concert band, I also enjoy playing other instruments, namely among them: the piano. Music is perhaps my favourite recreational pastime, and as such is something I hold in high regard.

8. The next image of those which I have opted to include in my collage is that of the Final Fantasy X video game, and is intended to depict my wide range of gaming pursuits. As I frequently indulge in the allure of video games, I saw fit to include this as a rather prominent aspect of my recreations.

9. On the note of recreational activity, I have elected to discuss my deep-seated love of fine literature, as is represented by the spines of the first three novels in a favourite title of mine by author "Terry Goodkind".

10. Yet another activity which I enjoy on a virtually daily basis is that of watching television. Displayed is a poster of one of my favourite television series: Supernatural. This particular show is one which scrutinizes the dark side of theology, and is far from religious banter. For this purpose I have come to enjoy it rather immensely, and consequently saw fit to include it in this autobiographical visual display.

Computer Schematic

NB: The numbers illustrated in the above cited diagram correspond to the statements located below. It is therefore advisable to use the diagram in concert with the statements to better comprehend the information presented.

1. This particular component serves as the connection through which the GUI (graphical user interface (ie. the monitor of the processing unit) is connected to an electrical outlet. Ergo, this component is responsible for the monitor being operational.

2. This jack connects to the "Audio In" slot. As the title would therefore be indicative of, the jack enables audio based information to be communicated between the monitor and the CPU (alternately referred to as the central processing unit) proper.

3. The plug presently under scrutiny is responsible for the connection of the GUI (monitor) to the pc itself. Consequently, it is necessary for the displaying of the desired information on the screen.

4. The electrical socket is the device which connects the electrical appliance/device to a direct source of electrical power. This is responsible for the functioning of the computing unit.

5. The cord indicated is the "power cord" which, as the name would so blatantly imply, connects the computer to the electrical socket situated on the wall. In essence, it serves as the conduit through which the electrical power may be transferred from the source to the computer.

6. This jack, as one would gather from the logo of a microphone to its immediate right, is the slot into which the connection of a microphone is inserted into the computer. It is via this connection that recorded audible information may be transmitted to the computer.

7. Of similar function to the previously mentioned audio jack, this jack is intended to relay information. Conversely, this jack is "audio output", as opposed to "audio input", and thus is responsible for the transmission of outgoing audio information.

8. The "Audio In" jack mentioned previously connects to this slot. These two components work in concert to relay audio information between the monitor and the computer proper.

9. The arrow illustrated is designed to designate four Universal Serial Bus (USB) slots which may be utilized for a medley of functions, primarily the connections of flash drives, and what have you.

10. This connection cable serves serves as the counterpart to that of the VGA input cable, the function of which is to - in concert with the VGA input cable, connect the monitor and computer proper.

11. The purpose of the above cited wire is to connect the mosue to the computer, thereby permitting the user of the console operate various functions on the computer. Without the presence of this, many operations would be rendered impractical and/or impossible.

12. Akin to the afore mentioned mouse connection, this wire connects the keyboard to the computer, allowing the individual using the computer ot input information into the machine.

13. This cable is the internet connection. It essentially links the computer to an intricate system of connections which allow the computer access to the world wide web, and in so doing render the computer a far more efficient machine where education and communication are concerned.
